I've had less time work on my blog since being unemployed. I'd like to say that I've worked feverishly to find a job but that would be a lie. Summer is here and gone and I had other things on my mind.
I had visions of going west and visiting my sister, Theresa. I'm sorry Beast, I just didn't have the money. Joe was willing to send me out but I refused to go if he wasn't. I didn't want to tell him all about the trip, I wanted him to share all the amazing sites and enjoy my sisters wonderful family. Isn't that what being married is all about? As it turned out we were able to enjoy some inexpensive trips and adventures over the summer to make up for it. More later...
The picture above was taken at an art show. Nancy Hinson (blue outfit) is a wonderful oil painter using a special medium also for a finished museum quality finish. I have several of her pieces which I love. Her husband, Tom (in the wheelchair), has Parkinson's disease. She was very tearful at the show about getting help a few days a week so that she could have time to enjoy some golfing and her art lessons. I told her I would be glad to help her out and at the same time give her peace of mind about having a stranger in the house. Yea, I know I'm strange but not that kind. Tom and Joe had worked together at SSA (Social Security Adminstration) and have been friends for many years.
